During this challenging time, many universities are continuing with remote and/or hybrid learning. As a result, students’ mental health treatment on campus may have been interrupted without students or parents being aware of alternative plans or resources.

Online versus In Person Therapy?

I offer in person sessions on a limited basis. If you are not able to attend sessions in person in Hermosa Beach, I offer the convenience of sessions over an online HIPPA compliant platform. Telehealth (online sessions) can be very helpful for a variety of reasons starting with if you are unable to come to the office due to distance or schedule. Additionally, clients who are homebound for a period of time due to health issues, may choose to have sessions online. The day of your scheduled session, you will receive a unique and secure link via email to the platform for us to connect through.

For clients seeking insurance reimbursement, please know that not all insurance plans will reimburse for online sessions. Also very important to note that there are circumstances where online therapy is not appropriate and may include clients who:

•Are suicidal or severely depressed
•Are frequently in a mental health crisis
•Reside or are traveling outside the state of California
