Adjunct EMDR in Redondo Beach, CA
Looking for a way to enhance your therapeutic journey?
True healing happens when deeper layers are uncovered and addressed.
Complementary support.
For individuals already in therapy, adjunct EMDR offers an additional layer of focused support. This approach allows you to target specific trauma or challenges while continuing to work on broader goals with your primary therapist, creating a powerful and collaborative path to healing.
Trauma resolution.
If you’re looking to address distressing memories or unresolved trauma without disrupting your current therapy, adjunct EMDR provides a structured and effective solution. These sessions focus on reprocessing past experiences, helping you achieve relief and clarity that enhances your overall therapeutic progress.
Process for Intensive EMDR
-
The process begins with a thorough intake session to understand your history, goals, and specific needs. This helps ensure the intensive EMDR experience is tailored to provide the most effective and supportive care.
-
Each intensive consists of 2 hours of EMDR therapy that can be scheduled as often and for as many days as you feel necessary.
These sessions provide the time and focus needed to work through the 8 phases of EMDR, including history-taking, preparation, assessment, desensitization, installation, body scan, closure, and re-evaluation.
-
Following the intensive work, integration sessions help solidify progress and ensure the insights and relief gained are applied effectively to daily life.
