Intensive EMDR
A focused, deep-dive into EMDR therapy for deeper and faster healing.
Is traditional therapy just not cutting it anymore?
Achieve meaningful change with intensive EMDR.
Deeper healing.
If you’re seeking to deeply address unresolved trauma and emotional pain, intensive EMDR provides the time and space needed to focus on what’s holding you back. By dedicating focused sessions to the process, you can uncover and heal from the root causes of distress in a safe and supportive environment.
Faster progress.
For those ready to move forward quickly, intensive EMDR offers a concentrated approach to healing. These longer sessions create the opportunity to address key issues without interruptions, helping you make noticeable strides toward relief and resilience without waiting weeks or months for progress.
You’re in the right place.
Intensive EMDR can help you achieve in one session what might take months with traditional therapy.
What Intensive EMDR?
Intensive EMDR refers to focused, 2 hour sessions of EMDR therapy that allow you to engage in deep healing. Unlike traditional EMDR therapy that takes place in a 50 minutes, intensives involve extended time blocks dedicated to working through specific trauma, anxiety, or other distressing experiences in a condensed timeframe.
By immersing yourself in this concentrated format, you can make rapid progress and achieve significant breakthroughs, allowing you to resolve what may take months in a regular therapy setting. Intensive EMDR is ideal for individuals seeking immediate relief and those who would like more time to focus on their healing without the interruptions of weekly sessions.
1
Intake Session
The intake session is essential for a thorough assessment and preparation, ensuring readiness for intensive EMDR therapy. Lasting 50 minutes, this session will help begin Phase 1 (history taking & treatment planning) and Phase 2 (preparation) of EMDR therapy, so the focus on intensive day can be solely on healing.
2
Intensive Session
Each intensive session lasts approximately 2 hours and can be scheduled as often and for as many days as you feel necessary. These sessions provide the time and focus needed to work through the 8 phases of EMDR, including history-taking, preparation, assessment, desensitization, installation, body scan, closure, and re-evaluation.
3
Integration Session
Taking time for integration sessions is highly recommended following intensive EMDR. These sessions provide an opportunity to reflect on progress, solidify new insights, and support lasting change, ensuring the healing process is deeply reinforced.
